How do I get technical help?
Call Rutland for product information and advice. Take advantage of our veteran product management and technical support team. Many of us have been in this business for 20 years or more, so call us when you need answers. Call: 800.289.4787or e-mail: inquiry@rutlandtool.com

How do I search for my item?
You can search for your item using the search box or the category menu along the left hand side of the screen right below the menu bar. Please note that not all of the products Rutland Tool sells are available online. If you cannot find a product, please contact us at 800.289.4787.

Search:

  • Enter a Rutland Tool model number, product name, brand, descriptive term or manufacturer in the search box in the upper right hand corner. Click the GO button to quarry results.

A listing will appear with all of the products that contain the term that you entered in the search box. Each product will contain an image (where available) followed by the product description, Rutland Tool model number and current price.  Click on either the image or product description to view the details of that specific product.  You also have the ability to use our NEW drag and drop feature by holding your mouse button down over the photo and dragging it to the shopping cart on the right hand side.

Category Menu:
Click on a category to drill down to a listing of subcategories all the way to the product level.  The primary categories can be found on the left hand of the site or in the “Product” button featured on the top bar of the website.

How do I place my order?
It's easy to order from rutlandtool.com. If this is your first time purchasing from our online store, just follow these 3 easy steps:
1. Browse the categories or e-catalog.
2. Add the item you want to your shopping cart.
3. Click the check out button.  You may log in if you are already a registered customer or register to be a customer or check out as a guest shopper.
4. Continue thru our quick and easy check out process.

How do I pay?
If you have an open account with Rutland Tool, you can check the On Account box and your order will be processed.  If you do not have an open account, then when you are checking out, you will be prompted to enter your credit card number for payment. We accept the following:
• Visa
• MasterCard
• American Express
• Discover/Novus
• Diners Club
• Carte Blanche

Will I have to pay additional shipping charges on backordered items?
No. You will pay shipping charges one time based on the total value of your order.

Is it safe to use my credit card?
We guarantee that every transaction you make at Rutland Tool and rutlandtool.com will be 100% safe. This means you pay nothing if unauthorized charges are made to your card as a result of shopping at Rutland Tool or rutlandtool.com.

What do I do if I can't ship my entire order via Overnight or Second Day because an item in it has been defined as Hazardous Material by the US Department of Transportation?
If you indicate that you would like to have all items in your shopping cart delivered by air (either "Air Overnight" or "Second Day") and it contains an item that is Hazardous Material, then please be aware that this item does not qualify for air delivery.You can do one of the following:
1. Continue with the checkout process and your entire order will be sent using ground transport, or
2. If you would like your other items shipped using either "Air Overnight" or "Second Day" delivery, then please remove this "non-qualifying" item from your current shopping cart and order it separately using "Standard Delivery" ground transport.

Please Note: The Hazardous Materials charge per package requires shipping papers under the Title 49 C.F.R. Section 172.200 and incurs an additional $20 charge.

Why can't I use my Promotion Code?
The Promotion Code may have expired, already been redeemed or input incorrectly. If you entered the Promotion Code and you received a message stating it is "invalid", then please re-enter the code carefully. Keep in mind that sometimes a zero "0" may look like alphabetical letter "O".  If you are still having difficulty using your Promotion Code, please call us at 800.727.9787 or e-mail us at inquiry@rutlandtool.com.

How do I track my order?
Once you have registered as an on-line customer and logged in you may check the status of your order on the website by clicking on "My Account" and viewing "View Order Status/History" under the heading "My Account Details". All registered users can have shipping confirmations sent to them via e-mail or Fax. Please contact our customer service representatives at 800.289.4787 or e-mail us at inquiry@rutlandtool.com to set up shipping confirmations or to answer any other questions you may have regarding order status.


Can I submit suggestions or comments to you regarding your website?
Absolutely. We encourage you to tell us what you need, like or dislike. Please let us know by e-mail at inquiry@rutlandtool.com or by clicking on our comments button.

What do I do if I want to return an item?
If you need to return merchandise, you may return your order within 30 days of purchase, or we will gladly work with you to correct the order. For returns, please contact our customer service department at 800.289.4787 for a Return Goods Authorization Number. Please include a copy of your invoice or packing slip, along with any instructions and the Return Goods Authorization Number written on the outside of the box.

You may also e-mail us at inquiry@rutlandtool.com with the following information outlined in your e-mail:

  • Company & Contact Name
  • Customer Number
  • Contact Phone & e-mail
  • Invoice Number
  • Quantity, Model Number & Reason for Return of each item being returned

Upon receipt of your e-mail, one of our customer service representatives will contact you with your Return Goods Authorization Number.

What if I receive a damaged item or my shipment is lost?
Notify your local UPS or FedEx office immediately.  All damages must be noted on delivery receipt. Call us toll-free at 800.289.4787 to advise our office of the problem, and we will assist you in the claim process. Keep all damaged goods, containers and packaging until you are advised to dispose of or return them. For Motor Freight, contact your carrier. Check your order immediately upon arrival. All damages and shortages must be reported to the carrier within 7 days. All damaged containers and merchandise must be kept for your carrier to inspect. Again, we would be glad to assist you in the claim process. (The ICC requests that recipients file all requests.)
